NEXHUB EXPORT CONFERENCE: CELEBRATES 20 CONTAINER SHIPMENT TO CHINA, REVEALS STRATEGIES TO BOOST NON-OIL EXPORTS


Abuja, October 23, 2024 – The highly anticipated NEXHUB Abuja Export Conference 2024 successfully concluded yesterday, positioning Nigeria as a key player in global non-oil exports. Held under the theme "Navigating the Future of Non-Oil Export," the event brought together industry leaders, government officials, and businesses to discuss strategic pathways for advancing Nigeria's export sector. The highlight of the day was the inaugural shipment of 20 containers of sesame seeds, cassia tora, and mica to China by NEXHUB Abuja subscribers—a significant milestone that exceeded the initial target of 10 containers, showcasing the remarkable growth potential of the non-oil export sector.


Esteemed guest speakers included the President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA); the Managing Director of NEXIM Bank, represented by the Executive Director of Business Development; the National Coordinator of AfCFTA, represented by a senior international trade expert; and representatives from various federal ministries, financial institutions, and industry leaders. These key dignitaries provided valuable insights into the future of non-oil exports, emphasizing the essential role of the private sector in driving Nigeria’s economic diversification.


In his opening remarks, the Chairman of NEXHUB, Dr. Victor Ayemere, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders for their participation and highlighted the immense potential of Nigeria's non-oil exports. He reiterated that NEXHUB is committed to simplifying export processes and providing Nigerian businesses with the tools to access international markets. 


The Managing Director of NEXHUB, Mr. Babatunde Faleke, addressed the attendees, stating: "As we look to the future, NEXHUB is expanding its focus beyond traditional exports like agro commodities and solid minerals.
